Additional measures to strengthen security to be taken in the northern provinces, Afghanistan’s prime minister said

Almaty. August 5. Silkroadnews – Afghan Prime Minister Abdullah Abdullah said the additional measures will be taken to ensure security in the northern Afghan provinces, Afghan news agency (AfTAG) reports.

The statement was made during his meeting with the elders and other representatives of Badakhshan province.

The Prime Minister discussed with the residents of Badakhshan security issues, economic situation, as well as unemployment in the province. The participants of the meeting urged the government to pay attention to the people who were forced to leave their homes because of security situation.

In his turn, Abdullah Abdullah stressed, the Afghan authorities address these problems and take serious measures to improve the situation in the province.
