Afghan Air Force will receive 12 helicopters from USA

Almaty. October 8. Silkroadnews - Management of non-standard rotary-wing aircraft of the United States Army signed a contract with the American company MD Helicopters on supply for the Air Force of Afghanistan 12 training helicopters, informs Afghan News Agency (AfTAG).
Agreement will be implemented as option to the main contract for the supply of six MD 530F helicopters to Afghanistan, which was signed in 2010.
The first six helicopters under the new contract will be supplied in the first quarter of 2015. In the second quarter, the Afghan military will receive the remaining six machines. All new Air Force helicopters will be used for pilot training.
