Afghan Defense Minister resigned after Taliban attack on a military base

Almaty. April 24. Silkroadnews – Afghanistan’s Minister of Defense Abdullah Khan Habibi and Army Chief of Staff Qadam Shah Shahim resigned after the attack of militants of the radical movement "Taliban" on the military block in the province of Balkh, TASS reports.

As it was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Afghanistan, the extremists dressed in Afghan army uniforms and driving military vehicles committed an attack on the mosque on the territory of the military unit during the Friday prayer having left 150 Afghan militaries killed and dozens wounded.
