Afghan parliament approved 9 out of 25 candidates to the Cabinet

Almaty. January 29. Silkroadnews - Afghan President Ashraf Ghani has suffered a serious setback: Parliament approved only 9 of the 25 candidates for cabinet posts that he proposed, transmits the BBC Russian Service.
As noted, the 10 candidates were unable to obtain enough votes from Deputies. Another 5 nominators were rejected due to the fact that they have dual citizenship or do not have necessary for the Minister Education.
Received the approval the Foreign Minister Salahuddin Rabbani, Interior Minister Nur-ul-Haq Ulum and Finance Minister Eklil Hakimi, as well as head of the National Security Department Rahmatullah Nabil.
Deputies rejected the candidacy of Defense Minister Mohammad Karimi, who received less than half of the votes. Also empty chairs of Minister of Economy and Minister of Justice.
