Afghan President urged the people to remain calm despite the provocations of militants

Almaty. November 12. Silkroadnews - Afghan President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani appealed to the population to stay calm and stick to national unity in spite of provocations of militants, reports AfTAG.
The announcement comes amid rising popular anger caused by the news of the execution of the seven hostages by militants in Zabul province. In Kabul on Wednesday held the largest in the last 30 years, protest of demonstration, which was attended by more than 30 thousand man.
The whole event was peaceful, but many of the demonstrators demanded the resignation of the president and the government, accusing the authorities that they have made insufficient efforts to rescue the captives. Some of the protesters attempted to storm the presidential palace, but were stopped by the police and a scuffle at the gate led to the injury of eight people.
In this situation, the President emphasized that the Government is continuing to investigate the murder of hostages, those responsible will be held accountable for the atrocities.
