Afghan refugees continue to arrive in Kazakhstan, the MFA of Kazakhstan
Astana. September 26. Silkroadnews - Ambassador of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Timur Orazaev noted that Afghan refugees continue to arrive in Kazakhstan, but their main stream will come from neighboring Afghanistan, reports KazTAG.
"For all these years, the flow of refugees to the territory of Kazakhstan was not significant, because we have a corresponding border, customs regimes, so the greatest burden on the flow of refugees, of course, is not experiencing Kazakhstan and neighboring countries of Afghanistan. This is, first of all, Pakistan and Iran, to a lesser extent India, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and other countries. In this sense, the situation in Kazakhstan is good, so I do not think that after 2014, the flow of refugees in Kazakhstan will somehow increase", - he said.
According to him, the number of Afghan refugees in the Republic of Kazakhstan ranges from 400-500 people.
The ambassador said that the unfavorable development of the situation in Afghanistan and the problems of refugees in the first place can touch only Afghanistan's neighboring countries.
"Most of the Afghan refugees in the Republic of Kazakhstan is trying to stay on the territory of Kazakhstan, and to find some work and normal favorable living conditions", - said T. Orazaev.
However, he noted that "Kazakhstan is not favorable country for illegal movement of migrants or refugees for further movement in the European direction or another".
