Afghanistan annulled an agreement on supply of Ukrainian aircrafts
Almaty. June 17. Silkroadnews - Afghan's Ministry of Defense has decided to annul the contract with Ukraine for the supply of three models of aircraft An-140, reports Afghan News Agency (AfTAG).
"The statement was made by Minister Bismillah Mohammadi at the National Security Council. The minister explained that this decision was taken because of "deteriorating military and political situation in the east of Ukraine," - says the publication.
The head of Ministry of Defense added that the current situation has serious doubts about the possibility of the contract.
However, the Afghan government are still expecting to acquire military aircrafts. Representatives of the Ministry are discussing with other countries to conclude the similar contract.
