Afghanistan entered WTO

Almaty. July 29. Silkroadnews - Afghanistan has entered the World Trade Organization (WTO), it has become the 164th member of the organization, reports the TASS news agency.
"In compliance with the rules, the decision on accession came into force on Friday, 30 days after Kabul received the official notification on the protocol ratification on accession," the message reports.
The WTO press service in Geneva reported, Afghanistan transferred the documents on ratification of the protocol by the Parliament on June 30 in the WTO headquarter eliminating the "barriers for the membership".
Afghanistan applied for membership in the organization in 2004. The negotiations completed in November 2015, the protocol on accession was signed on December 17.
