Afghanistan has banned the import of Iranian oil

Almaty. January 13. Silkroadnews - Afghanistan has banned the import of Iranian oil, transmits Afghan News Agency (AfTAG).
"The fuel produced in Iran, does not comply with these requirements", - says the publication.
Currently in Afghanistan valid environmental standard Euro-4 relating to the content of harmful substances in exhaust gases. Waste Iranian fuel in their characteristics deviate from the standard, Afghan experts considered too harmful to the environment.
In connection with the violation of an established timetable oil imports in Afghanistan is expected to increase in fuel prices, as well as the reorientation of the market share in the CIS countries.
Meanwhile, sources from the Iranian Customs reported that the border areas still have 160 batches of petroleum products intended for delivery to Afghanistan.
It is worth noting that in the near future, Iran and Afghanistan are going to sign a strategic partnership agreement. Tehran is keen to strengthen its position in a country where nearly half the population (Tajiks, Hazaras) have a common cultural and ethnic roots with the Iranians.
