Afghanistan hopes that Kazakhstan will create the necessary conditions for increasing the supply of IRA goods

Almaty. May 18. Silkroadnews - First Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Bakytzhan Sagintayev held a meeting with the Minister of Mines and Petroleum of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan (IRA) Daud Shah Saba, transmits the press service of prime minister.
"The sides discussed issues of cooperation in economic and humanitarian spheres. Daud Shah Saba expressed hope that Kazakhstan will create all the necessary conditions for increasing the supply of Afghan goods",- said in a statement on Monday.
As noted B.Sagintayev, Kazakhstan actively supports international efforts aimed at stabilizing the situation in Afghanistan, and annually provides humanitarian assistance to the country.
He also expressed hope that the new leadership of the country with President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani and Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah, will be able to carry out full-fledged reforms aimed at improving the welfare of the Afghan people.
In addition, the report says that Kazakhstan, in accordance with the request of the IRA elaborate on the extension of the educational program for the Afghan youth. According to the press service, during the period from 2010 to 2020 about a thousand Afghan citizens will be trained in Kazakh universities. The total cost of the program is $50 million.
The participants of the meeting noted an increase in bilateral trade. Thus, in 2014 the trade turnover between the countries amounted to $336.7 million with an increase of more than a third compared with 2013 year. However, the sides noted that the potential of trade and economic cooperation between the two countries are still not fully disclosed.
