Afghanistan is going to become a member of the TRACECA transport corridor

Almaty. January 13. Silkroadnews - Afghanistan expressed its willingness to take part in the international transport corridor Europe-Caucasus-Asia (TRACECA), AfTAG informs.
It should be noted that membership in the project will enable the Afghan products to get the access to markets in South Asia and European countries, integrating it into the regional economy and helping to renew the Silk Road.
As the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation of the country Mohammadullah Batash reported at the recent meeting of the regional countries the countries-members of the project expressed their willingness to support Afghanistan to join them. In particular, the representatives of Iran stated their willingness to support Afghanistan and also took part in the negotiations on this issue.
To mention the access to the international markets is one of the most pressing economic problems of Afghanistan.
TRACECA project operates since 1993, its participants are Turkey, Armenia, Iran, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Romania, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Georgia and Moldova.
