Afghanistan launched a national employment program
Almaty. November 24. Silkroadnews - Head of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Ashraf Ghani announced the launch of the National Employment Programme, which will create thousands of new jobs, said Afghan News Agency (AfTAG).
As the president, speaking at a press conference, the government has allocated funds to finance the program, which, inter alia, includes the construction of roads in rural areas. Residents of nearby settlements will be able to work in these projects. In addition, many residents of the country will get a job in the local municipalities.
A.Gani stressed that security in Afghanistan depends largely on the ability of the population to obtain gainful employment. The government plans to solve the problem of poverty of the Afghan population. Also, the president of the IRA announced that Afghanistan can no longer rely on international financing, and should stand on its feet.
As reported, today, work is underway on the construction of 17 hydropower plants that will generate electricity and thus provide electricity for industrial parks and manufacturing.
The idea of financing the employment program was made public immediately after the visit of A.Gani to Kazakhstan last week. As it is known, in Kazakhstan implemented the program "Nurly Zhol" which focuses on infrastructure projects.
