Afghanistan plans to create a new system for collecting economic data

Almaty. February 11. Silkroadnews - Afghan Chamber of Commerce (ACCI) will cooperate with the Central Statistical Committee (ISO) to establish a new system for the collection of economic data, reported the Afghan News Agency (AfTAG).
"Before, the statistics in Afghanistan was coming without coordinating agencies, as a result there are large discrepancies in data from different institutions",- said the head of the board of directors ACCI Atikulla Nasrat.
According to him, this system is neccessary to provide more accurate data required to the government.
Quarterly data will come from a variety of areas such as trade, finance, agriculture. The Afghan Chamber of Commerce will take part in the collection and verification of information to improve the reliability of the database.
Afghan Industries Association (AIA) welcomed the establishment of a new system of data collection and promised to cooperate with the agencies concerned in ensuring the accuracy of the information.
