Almaty. September 9. Silkroadnews - Presidential candidate Abdullah Abdullah refused to recognize the results of the presidential elections held on June 14, reports Afghan News Agency (AfTAG).
According to him, the recount is completed, but "still remains unclear the fate of more than 1 million ballots".
"Negotiations on the formation of a national unity government are stalled. But we believe in the positive solution to this issue",- he added.
Harsh statements of the clear leader of the first round of the presidential election (almost 45% of the vote) were sounded on the basis of reports of a number of Afghan media on the final settlement of the protracted political crisis in Afghanistan. Despite the efforts of the current head of the Islamic Republic of Hamid Karzai in Kabul, the arrival of Assistant Secretary of State Douglas Frantz and German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier, and calls the participants of the recent NATO summit in Wales, the situation in Afghanistan remains practically unchanged.
