Afghanistan’s President will take part in the ceremony to develop the port in Iran

Almaty. May 19. Silkroadnews – President of Afghanistan Mohammad Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai will visit Iran to take part in a construction inauguration ceremony of Chabahar port on May 23, AfTAG reports.
According to the deputy spokesman to the president of Afghanistan Dawa Khan Menapal, a memorandum of understanding will be signed between India, Iran and Afghanistan. He also said Chabahar is the closest Iranian port on the way to Afghanistan.
D. Menapal voiced hope the trilateral cooperation between Iran, India and Afghanistan will lay a good foundation for further cooperation between three countries in the transport sector.
Chabahar port is located in the south-east of Iran, 900 km away from Afghanistan.
