Afghanistan to create conditions to employ 10 thousand disabled people

Almaty. January 11. Silkroadnews – Afghanistan will create environment for employment and professional fulfillment for 10 thousand individuals with disabilities, Afghan news agency (AfTAG) reports.

At present the labor law is being amended and changes to be introduced are expected to come into force soon.

According to Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Jamila Afghani, the national action program for individuals with disabilities has already been developed and will come into force soon.

The Deputy Minister also added the employment opportunities and professional fulfillment environment will be created for 10 thousand people in the near future through the implementation of commercial programs.

At the same part Qadria Ibrahim Yazdanparast, a member at the Afghanistan Independent Human Rights Commission, has noted earlier the needs and rights of these people have not been given due attention and added the Independent Human Rights Commission is ready to work in this direction.

Director of center for assistance to blind and visually impaired individuals Banafshe Yakubi assured the purpose of these courses organization is empowerment of people with disabilities, and courses will continue to work in this direction.
