Afghanistan will revise the political agreement on national unity government forming
Almaty. August 18. Silkroadnews – President of Afghanistan Mohammad Ashraf Ghani and Prime Minister Abdullah Abdullah held a bilateral meeting aimed to overcome differences on the state management system, AfTAG informs.
According to report by the president's press service, Ashraf Ghani listened to the comments by Abdullah Abdullah and promised to consider them thoroughly at the next meeting.
The negotiations between the top officials on resolution of the issues raised are expected to be continued in the near future. Next meetings, in particular, to be held on Thursday and Friday.
According to AfTAG, the Prime Minister criticized the president's policies. In his turn the president brought counter accusations.
The day before Afghanistan's president administration announced that Muhammad Ashraf Ghani revises the political agreement on formation of a national unity government.
«There is a huge work carried out to revise the text of the political agreement – what was written there to clarify the issue – if there is a point in the text saying if Loya Jirga is absent, the government is to work for five years. If there is something like this in the text, the president may not raise objections. If nothing like this is written there, this will be a completely different situation and it is up to president to decide what action to take», Afghanistan head's adviser on the press said.
