Air traffic from Kazakhstan’s capital to Issyk-Kul will be opened in July

Almaty. May 11. Silkroadnews – Flights from Astana and Shymkent to Tamchi are planned to be opened this July, KyrTAG reports.

“(...) this year (it is proposed to start – Silkroadnews) the routes Astana-Tamchi-Astana, Shymkent-Tamchi-Shymkent. The work is carried out in this direction, it is planned to open the new flights this July,” said the envoy of the government in the Issyk-Kul region Askhat Akibaev.

According to the director of tourism department Azamat Zhamankulov, there are also plans to start regular charter flights Yekaterinburg-Tamchi, Chelyabinsk-Tamchi, Novosibirsk-Tamchi.

“The decision has been made to open air traffic on Chelyabinsk-Tamchi route, we are also working with Yekaterinburg and Novosibirsk, but I think in two weeks we shall finalize the issue,” A. Zhamankulov said.
