American companies in China report growth of profit

Almaty. July 12. Silkroadnews – US companies operating in China report a growth of profit, though are concerned about the PRC’s policy of supporting local producers, Reuters writes.
“More and more US companies working in China report an increase in profits in 2017, yet they are concerned about Beijing’s policy unfairly supporting the local companies”, report reads.
According to the American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai, 73.5% out of 426 US companies reported an increase in profits in 2016 compared with 615 in 2015. For 2017 82% of companies forecast profit growth, which shows improvement in the economic stability, representatives of the American Chamber of Commerce believe.
However, concerns about strengthening of such Beijing’s policy as “Made in China 2015”, aimed at supporting local producers, and a merger of a number of state companies to build larger and stronger business structures, grow as well.
Representatives of the American Chamber of Commerce suggest such measures worsen the situation of foreign companies in China.
