Almaty. August 18. Silkroadnews - An earthquake measuring 6.1 on the Richter scale occurred on Monday morning in western Iran, the Iranian News Agency (IrTAG).
According to the Iranian Seismological Center, tremors were recorded in three kilometers from the city of Ilam province Murmur at 07.02 local time on Monday morning. The epicenter of the earthquake was located at 32,703 degrees north latitude and 47,695 degrees east longitude, the report said.
Some reports inform about 50 people injured and damage of varying severity. In Abdanan were destroyed power and communication lines, there is no water supply.
It is reported that, in addition to Ilam, tremors also felt in the provinces of Kermanshah, Lorestan and Khuzestan. Four western provinces of the country introduced a state of emergency.
