Angela Merkel invited the elected Afghan President to visit Germany

Almaty. September 24. Silkroadnews - German Chancellor Angela Merkel held a telephone conversation with the new president of Afghanistan, Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai and invited him to visit Berlin, reports Afghan News Agency (AfTAG) with reference to the government spokesman Steffen Seibert to Germany.
According to him, the head of the German government congratulated Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai on his election to the presidency.
Federal Chancellor stressed that after the transition period, it is important to promote stability and economic power in Afghanistan, pushing the country forward on the path to democracy and the rule of law.
Germany is ready to continue to provide support to Afghanistan - both in terms of security and in the economic sphere, assured Merkel.
