Another round of Tajik-Uzbek border talks took place in Fergana
Beijing. February 26. Silkroadnews - Another round of talks on the Tajik-Uzbek border took place in Fergana, the Tajik Telegraph Agency (TajikTA) reported on Monday.
Another joint meeting of the Tajikistan-Uzbekistan intergovernmental commission on the state border delimitation and demarcation took place last Saturday in the city of Fergana, Uzbekistan, the information department of Tajikistan’s Foreign Ministry said.
The meeting of the intergovernmental commission was chaired by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan Kohir Rasulzoda and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov.
The agenda included discussion of the project line of the Tajik-Uzbek state border at the specific sites. The parties agreed they have succeeded a lot in the state border delimitation within a short period of time.
The participants also paid attention to the organizational and content aspects of the upcoming high-level meetings events, preparation and coordination of a package of bilateral documents, agreements and contracts to be signed during the March 2018 state visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Tajikistan.
The parties noted a constructive approach to consideration and resolution of all available issues of the bilateral agenda of the Intergovernmental Commission.
