Army of Iran turned into high alert mode because of the situation in Iraq

Tehran. June 26. Silkroadnews - The Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran (IRI), based in the south and south-west of the country moved to a heightened state of alert, reports IrTAG.
"Deputy Commander of Iran's Ground Forces General Ali Arasteh said the regime of alert has been set due to the sharp deterioration of the situation and increased terrorist activity in neighboring Iraq," - says the publication.
The Army Chief Ahmad Rizo Purdastan is currently in the region and personally monitors the progress of defensive action.
As noted in the publication, earlier this week, the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Iran, Hussein Ali Amiri said that the country's borders protected. Iranian law enforcement and security forces have the situation under control at the border.
