As of February 1 Kyrgyzstan will introduce the compulsory housing insurance

Almaty. January 12. Silkroadnews - Compulsory insurance of housing will be introduced in Kyrgyzstan on 1 February. This was announced by the Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Temir Sariyev, KyrTAG reports.
According to the head of governmentб as of February 1 the new state insurance company will start to operate. Starting from that date the citizens are obliged to insure their homes. Compensation for damage caused by natural disasters and emergency situations will be cancelled for those who do not insure their houses.
He also added at the first stage in the countryside the payment for property insurance will make 50 som per month. For people living in cities this cost will be higher.
“Payment will be only 600 som per year. But in case the insured house is destructed the house owner shall receive 500 000 som. With this money the owner can build a house again. For this system to start working it is necessary for population to start participating in it”, the head of government highlighted.
The prime minister added that all the relevant laws have been adopted and all the officials got their instructions and directions.
