At least 13 people were killed as a result of mudslides and floods in California: media report

Almaty. January 10. Silkroadnews - The number of people killed as a result of mudslides and floods in California increased to 13, the Kazakh Telegraph Agency (KazTAG) reported with reference to TASS.
At least 13 people were killed on Tuesday as a result of landslides and floods in the southern part of the U.S. state of California, the Santa Barbara County police spokesman said.
According to him, the number of victims can grow in the near future.
Some residents of Montecito, where several houses had been destroyed cause of mudslides, are missing.
This week Southern California was hit by heavy rains, in several areas of the state the residents have been evacuated.
