Regarding the Thursday evening fixing in dollar terms it decreased by 4.1.
The cost of gold ounce in euros made 1092.164 (-1.661) and in British pounds 867.457 (-5.388).
The interbank gold fixing is carried out every trading day at 10.30 and 15.00 GMT. The fixing results are used as a guide to trade the gold futures around the world. 5 financial institutes physically participating in delivery of gold determine the price.
