At the Iranian Iraqi border will be created a new FEZ

Almaty. January 8. Silkroadnews - Iranian province of Ilam decided to create a free economic zone (FEZ) in order to promote the export of Iranian goods and services in neighboring Iraq, informed the Iranian News Agency (IrTAG) on Tuesday.
As stated during the meeting of the ad hoc working group of vice-governor of the province of Ilam Heshmatulla Asgari, a corresponding bill to establish commercial and industrial FEZ "Mehran" will soon be submitted to the government, which will then be presented for final approval in Parliament.
According to him, the new FEZ will be built in the city of Mehran, which is located on the border with Iraq and has a strategic importance in trade and economic relations between the two countries. However, in recent years it has seen strong growth in the volume of exports from Iran to Iraq, which last year reached the sum of $1 billion, said H.Asgari.
However, he stressed that trade and industrial FEZ is an important trade and economic bases of any country. They contribute to the growth of the economy and, in particular, the development of exports.
