Almaty. October 27. Silkroadnews – Ayatollah Khamenei warned Iraq to remain vigilant in the face of American plots, the Iran Telegraph Agency of IrTAG reported with reference to the Mehr News Agency.
“Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei advised the Iraqi nation to remain cautious about the Americans’ plots, and never put trust in them,” the publication reads.
Ayatollah Khamenei also said that Iran supports the efforts of the Iraqi government to develop ties with states in the region and noted that the unity of various ethnic groups and the support of the Iraqi government by the masses, as well as the brave and faithful Iraqi youth, are the basis for recent victories against terrorists and their sponsors.
“However, you must be careful about the American deceptions and never trust them. The Americans created ISIL themselves, and now that the terrorists have been defeated by the Iraqi government and people, they pretend to be supportive of this important development; they will undoubtedly not hesitate to harm Iraq again if they find the opportunity,” Ayatollah Khamenei also noted.
In his turn, Haider al-Abadi, referring to the efforts the Iraqi people made to maintain the unity and territorial integrity of their country, said, “we will safeguard the unity and integrity of Iraq and, as before we said to our brothers in Kurdistan Region, we will never allow the country to be threatened with disintegration.”
