Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan may become a transit country for large cargo, Baku says

Almaty. October 20. Silkroadnews - modern logistics infrastructure created by Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan makes it capable of operating in transport corridors East-West and North-South at full capacity. Such an opinion was expressed by Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce (CCI) of Azerbaijan Nazim Tatliyev, reports Trend.
N.Tatlyev noted the important role of the Caspian Sea, as a link in many international and regional projects aimed at the development of transport corridors.
Speaking about projects implemented by Azerbaijan in this direction, the head of the Chamber of Commerce highlighted the new Ferry Terminal, and Baku Shipyard which has already been put into operation.
According to him, close relations and cooperation between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan are the key to security in the region.
Trade turnover between the two countries in January-September 2015 amounted to $76.9 million, which is 2.5 times less than in the comparable period last year.
