Azerbaijan proposes to create Iran-Finland corridor
Almaty. February 19. Silkroadnews - Azerbaijan proposes to link the Iranian port of Bandar Abbas with the capital of Finland, Helsinki, across its border with Russia by the railway, General Director of Baku International Sea Trade Port Taleh Ziyadov said, IrTAG reports.
During the Global Business Forum of the CIS in Dubai T. Ziyadov said the removal of sanctions from Iran is a game changer.
According to him, bordering Iran to the south Azerbaijan has a very good geographical location.
Speaking on the development of logistics within the economic transformation context, Ziyadov emphasized the future is all about the intermodal (mixed) transportation. He also added, Azerbaijan has set up robust logistics infrastructure by building competitive routes to effectively handle time-sensitive and high-value goods which have contributed to business growth across the region.
