Bangladesh is interested to increase exports to China

Almaty. August 24. Silkroadnews – Bangladesh (Dhaka) hosted the 14th meeting of China-Bangladesh intergovernmental trade-economic cooperation commission, «Xinhua» agency reports.

China's Vice Minister of Commerce Gao Yan said, at present China is the largest trading partner and importing country for Bangladesh, while Bangladesh is the third largest trading partner of China in South Asia and important contract market.

The Chinese side places a special emphasis on Bangladesh's request to increase exports to China and plans to continue rendering all possible assistance. China is ready to intensify its efforts to tie-in «One Belt, One Road» initiative and Bangladeshi development strategy to expand and deepen bilateral cooperation in trade and economic fields.

Senior Secretary of Ministry of Finance of Bangladesh Mohammad Mejbahuddin, in his turn, noted that Bangladesh pays great attention to develop friendly relations and cooperation with China and considers China as a true friend and reliable partner. At the same time, he urged both sides to strengthen cooperation in trade, investment, economic and technical areas to facilitate further development of inter-state trade and economic cooperation.
