Beekeepers of Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan agreed to cooperate

Almaty. October 3. Silkroadnews - Beekeepers of Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan signed a cooperation agreement, informed Tajik Telegraph Agency (TajikTA).
According to the information, businesses have agreed to develop an effective bilateral cooperation, to assist in finding business partners and investors. Particular attention was paid to support of the development of education by Tajik specialists in the field of beekeeping and the exchange of experiences of alternative methods of beekeeping in the framework of cooperation.
Earlier, Chamber of Commerce of Kyrgyzstan reported on the results of the meeting, mentioning that, entrepreneurs of the two countries signed contracts for $1.5 million.
As noted, according to the world standards Tajik honey is very high quality, but its exports to many countries is not adjusted. Today, only about 30 tons of honey annually is exported to Russia. Also in small quantities it exported to Iran, Kazakhstan, the United Arab Emirates and Afghanistan. The high quality of this product is due to the fact that the country has a very large forage base for the bees. Almost 4.5 million ha of land. They allow to produce more than 40 thousand tons of high quality raw materials per year.
