Beekeepers' union to be created in Kazakhstan
Astana. July 22. Silkroadnews - Various agricultural unions will be created in Kazakhstan by 2018, including bee keeping cooperatives, said Nurlybek Malelov, chairman of the national managing holding KazAgro.
"Until 2018 we plan to create cooperatives for production and processing of meat, cattle breeding, cotton production, processing of cattle milk, beekeeping, corn production and grain cultures," he said.
The main condition for the cooperative creation and successful activity is readiness of farmers to conduct joint production and carry solidary responsibility.
In his words, the holding continued financing of cooperatives through second tier banks in 2016.
"Last year we supported two pilot projects of the regional grain cooperatives, since 2016 the holding has financed 10 unions in Akmola, North Kazakhstan, Karaganda and Pavlodar regions. The areas of 121 of these unions made 720 000 hectares, the financing sum- 8.3 bn tenge," he said.
