Beijing subway can introduce technology for face recognition and palm scanning

Beijing. June 22. Silkroadnews - The Beijing subway is considering the possibility of introducing face recognition and other biometric parameters recognition technology to replace traditional ticketing system, CNBC reports.
For example, a person’s face or palm print could be recognized by a camera or sensor which then allows them through the gates to board a train, the report reads.
At present, as noted, the Shanghai Metro uses palm scanning for certain groups of people, disabled soldiers for instance, on one of its network lines.
