Beijing will start to return tourists taxes on purchases in 2015

Almaty. April 27. Silkroadnews - Beijing will start to recover taxes to foreign tourists from purchases in the current year, reported the newspaper "People's Daily".
"This should increase consumption and have a positive impact on the tourist attraction of the capital. Now Municipal Commission of Tourism Development approves a detailed diagram of the VAT refund from the Internal Revenue Service",- says the publication.
It is planned that the system will be extended to all foreign nationals and permanent residents of Hong Kong SAR, Macao SAR and Taiwan who were on mainland of China for more than 183 days.
As recalled, the rate of tax refund is 11% of the value of the goods. In this case, the purchase must be made in the store, which is covered by the VAT refund service.
In addition, the minimum value of purchase made by a tourist in one store in one day shall be not less than 500 yuan (about $82).
