Belarus and China to sign 30-day visa-free regime agreement

Beijing. May 10. Silkroadnews - Belarus and China are going to sign an agreement on 30-day visa-free regime, Belarusian parliament speaker Mikhail Myasnikovich said, the newspaper “People’s Daily” reports.
The signing of a visa-free agreement for up to 30 days will become one of the major moves of Belarus’s Year of Tourism in China and is expected to contribute significantly to the development of tourism, Myasnikovich said.
He added, during the year of tourism there will be several events aimed at developing Belarus as a tourist destination, including Belarusian art exhibitions and special activities with the participation of Chinese airlines.
More than 20,000 tourists from China visited Belarus in 2017. With the development of medical tourism, the number of Chinese tourists in Belarus may increase, Myasnikovich said.
On February 13, 2018, Belarus and China’s Hong Kong Special Administrative Region waived visas and introduced a visa-free regime.
The Belarusians and Chinese citizens living in Hong Kong are allowed to enter, leave, stay or transit through Hong Kong and Belarus, respectively, without visas for up to 14 days.
