Bill Gates became a member of the Chinese Engineering Academy

Almaty. November 28. Silkroadnews - Bill Gates became a member of the Chinese Engineering Academy, China Daily reports.
“US billionaire Bill Gates has been elected to the Chinese Academy of Engineering, China’s highest honor in the field of engineering,” the report said.
It is noted that 62-year-old co-founder of Microsoft is one of 18 new foreign members of the academy, and the only one who does not work at a university or research institute.
Gates was nominated for his work at TerraPower, a project company operating in nuclear reactors construction he helped to establish in 2008.
In late 2015, the company signed an agreement with China National Nuclear Corp on construction of a reactor in Fujian. The project is planned to start next year and be completed in 2025.
Currently, the Academy has 66 foreign members.
