Border services of Kazakhstan and China have agreed to exchange data on persons involved in terrorism activities

Almaty. December 21. Silkroadnews – Border services of Kazakhstan and China have agreed to exchange data on persons involved in terrorism activities, press-service of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan reported.

“During the working meeting of Major-General Darkhan Dilmanov, Deputy Chairman of the National Security Committee of Kazakhstan, Director of the Border Service, with Major-General Mu Mingbin, Vice Director of National Defense Mobilization Department under the Military Commission of the CPC Central Committee, head of the Border and Maritime Affairs Committee of the PRC, discussed the current issues of cooperation and prospects for inter-agency cooperation”, press release statement said on Wednesday.

In the course of the meeting head of the border departments of Kazakhstan and China exchanged views on the situation at the state border and measures taken to improve the national border control effectiveness.

“The leaders of delegations of Kazakhstan and China focused on border security issues in combating international terrorism and extremism, weapons trafficking, tools of terror and drug trafficking. They expressed their readiness to organize the exchange of data on persons involved in terrorist organizations’ activities and those intending to cross the state borders of Kazakhstan and China”, the report says.

The meeting participants also noted that joint patrolling of the state border areas had a positive impact on security at the border.

After the meeting the heads of border departments have expressed confidence in fruitful cooperation to be continued between two states.
