Brazil calls for broader ties with Iran
Almaty. November 10. Silkroadnews - Brazil calls for expanding ties with Iran, the Iranian Telegraph Agency (IrTAG) reported referring to Iran Daily newspaper.
Chairman of Foreign Affairs and National Defense Committee of Brazil Bruna Furlan said his country is keen to develop relations with Iran, the report said.
Parliamentary cooperation can help deepen the ties between Brazil and Tehran, he noted at a ceremony held at the beginning of a new round of activities of the parliamentary friendship group between Brazil and Iran.
In his turn Iran’s ambassador to Brazil Ali Saqqaeian, who also took part in the ceremony, said that Tehran welcomes the development of relations with Brazil.
Parliamentary groups can strengthen friendship between the two countries, Saqqaeian added.
The next round of work of the parliamentary friendship group Tehran-Brazil was supposed to start earlier, but was postponed because of the political crisis in Brazil.
