BRICS Summit kicked off in China

Almaty. September 4. Silkroadnews – BRICS summit kicked off in China, Ukrainian business portal “Capital” informed.
The BRICS countries (Russia, China, Brazil, India and South Africa) summit was opened in the South China coastal city of Xiamen. Leaders of five countries arrived at the Xiamen International Conference and Exhibition Center around 10.00 a.m. local time, where the Chairman of the People’s Republic of China, Xi Jinping, welcomed them, report said on Monday.
Reportedly, after the traditional group photo against the background of the state flags, the heads of five member states carried out a meeting with restricted attendance to discuss the situation in the world economy, global economic governance, international and regional conflicts, as well as national security and development.
With this it is noted that China, chairing the BRICS this year, has outlined the goals of the summit to strengthen mutually beneficial and comprehensive partnership for the sake of maintaining peace and stability, promoting universal development and improving the global governance system.
The summit will be carried out during two days, September 4-5, and is expected to be ended with the adoption of a joint Xiamen Declaration.
