British inspected Russian Military Base #201 in Tajikistan

Dushanbe. March 19. Silkroadnews – British inspectors have visited Russian Military Base #201 in Tajikistan, as TajikTA reports.
“The other day, March 18, British working group has finished its 2-days-long inspection of the Russian Military Base in Tajikistan”, commented at the CMD (Central Military District) Press Service.
The inspection took place within the framework of Vienna agreement “On measures for Strengthening Trust and Security” that was signed by Russia in 2011.
The working group expressed satisfaction with credibility of the reports on the scale of its activities that Russian party produces within the framework of international agreements.
The Russian Military Base #201 was installed in Tajikistan in 2004 with the purpose to support Tajikistan government in its commitment to provide stable political and military atmosphere in Central Asia. The agreement with Tajikistan government that grants Russian military base the right to be stationed in Tajikistan, expires in 2042.
