By 2020 China to form the modern international road transport system

Almaty. December 7. Silkroadnews – China will build an open, modern and efficient international road system by 2020, “Xinhua” agency reports.

According to the document by China’s Ministry of Transport “Considerations to facilitate the international transport within the framework of “One Belt, One Road” initiative realization”, a move towards the goal set will be carried out along with work facilitation in the following fields: provision of infrastructure interconnection, improvement of legal framework and systems standards, improvement of customs procedures efficiency, improvement of traffic conditions, improvement in quality indicators of development and competitiveness, building a system organization of rescue operations and assistance in emergency situations.

In fact, it is a plan of ministries and agencies’ joint activities aimed at “One Belt, One Road” initiative implementation, representative of Ministry of Transport said.

The objective is to develop economic corridors with the countries along the Belt and Road, eliminate non-physical barriers to the development of international transport, reduce the number of inefficient units in chain of transportation process for passengers and freight, reduce time and costs for transportation, as well as improve transport efficiency and transport services level, the department officials explain.
