By $37.5 million fined companies for violation of environmental laws in China
Almaty. August 7. Silkroadnews - Ministry of Environmental Protection of China published a report on the results of monitoring of environmental protection in the first half of 2015, reports the newspaper "People's Daily".
"For half a year across the country have been checked more than 620 thousand companies, of which 15 839 businesses were ordered to stop production due to the emission of pollutants, 9325 companies were closed, collected fines in the total amount of over 230 million yuan ($37.5 million)",- says the publication.
As noted, in 2015 began to operate the revised Law of the PRC on the Protection of the Environment. Minister of Ecology Chen Jining has repeatedly stressed the need to implement the new law and application of the methods specified in the law to deal with various disorders in the field of environmental protection.
