By the end of the year Iranian economy's growth to exceed 5% – Rouhani

Almaty. September 30. Silkroadnews – Iran's government will support the current economic growth of 5% by March 2017, President of Iran Hassan Rouhani said, IrTAG reports.

«At the beginning of the year I said about the 5% economic growth we focused on. Now I promise the growth will exceed 5% by the end of the year», the head of the state said referring to the trade balance achieved in the agricultural and industrial sectors.

According to Iran's Statistical Center, in August the country's GDP increased 4.4% in the first quarter of the year compared to the same period of 2015.

5% GDP growth by the Iranian government's estimations exceeded 4.2% and 4.6% the World Bank (WB) projected for 2016 and 2017 respectively. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) sees the growth of Iran's GDP to stand at 4-4.5% level in the medium term.
