Carpet-weaving and gold-embroidery centre opens in Northern Tajikistan

Dushanbe. April 2. Silkroadnews – Training and production centre for gold-embroidery and carpet-weaving was opened in Northern Tajik town of Hudjant. President Rahmon participated in the opening ceremony.
“3 visiting female tutors fr om Iran were teaching Tajik ladies for a year”, the President’s Press Office reports.
“There are several shops that are already producing gold-embroidery and weaving carpets in the centre. 250 people receive training in those shops every 3 months”, the Press Office continued.
They are to continue working in different parts of Sogdia region, wh ere similar shops are being built. However, most of them will work from home.
