China and Afghanistan will strengthen security cooperation

Almaty. May 13. Silkroadnews - secretary of the Political and Legislative Affairs Committee of China Central Committee Meng Jianzhu has promised to strengthen cooperation with Afghanistan in the fight against terrorism and drug trafficking, reported Xinhua news agency.
"Meng Jianzhu in a meeting with the Minister of Internal Affairs of Afghanistan Ulum Nurul Hak urged both sides to implement the consensus reached by the leaders of two countries on expanding areas of cooperation and promote new progress in the strategic partnership", - says the publication.
In turn U.N.Hak said that Afghanistan firmly supports China and intends to work more closely with them in the fight against terrorism and drug trafficking in order to maintain stability in the region.
