China and ASEAN countries signed a protocol on the improvement of the free trade regime
Almaty. November 23. Silkroadnews - Minister of Commerce Gao Hucheng and representatives of the relevant departments of the participating countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) in Kuala Lumpur signed a protocol on the improvement of the existing regime of free trade zone between the states, informs TASS referring to the Chinese Foreign Ministry.
"Protocol on raising the level of a free trade zone "China - ASEAN" is the first such document for these economic associations, which include China. It includes areas such as trade in goods and services, investment, and economic and technical cooperation", - said in a statement the Foreign Ministry of China.
According to the Foreign Ministry, "the signing of the Protocol will contribute to the goal of bringing trade turnover between China and member countries of ASEAN in 2020 to $1 trillion".
ASEAN brings together 10 countries of Southeast Asia: Brunei, Vietnam, Indonesia, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand and the Philippines.
