China and Belgium have agreed to strengthen cooperation

Almaty. June 24. Silkroadnews - President Xi Jinping in Beijing held talks with King Philippe of Belgium, reported Xinhua news agency.
"The Heads of State praised the development of relations between China and Belgium, and agreed to continue to co-direct the efforts to strengthen bilateral political trust, the formation of new growth factors, active cooperation, deepening the friendship between the people of the countries and promote more friendly Sino-Belgian relations", - says the publication .
Xi Jinping pointed out that China attaches great importance to developing relations with Belgium, and considers Belgium as an important partner in the EU and intends to maintain close high-level contacts and the high level of political trust. It is also noted that the Chinese government supports investment and business in Belgium from having sufficient capacity and welcomes Chinese companies an even greater number of Belgian companies, which intend to make investments in China.
Chinese President told the king of initiatives to build the economic zone of the Silk Road and Maritime Silk Road of the 21st century, which made China.
In turn, the King of Belgium said that as a reliable European partner of China, Belgium intends to become a bridge by which China can get to Europe. Belgium will continue to direct efforts to strengthen cooperation with China in such fields as trade, economy, innovation, education, biotechnology, health, medicine, and social insurance.
King Philip also stressed that Belgium is grateful for China's support for the process of European integration and the process of the formation of the euro area and aimed at the dock of the investment plan for the European initiatives "one zone, one way".
The two sides exchanged views on such issues of mutual interest, like combating climate change and the situation in the Great African Lakes region.
After completion of the talks, the heads of states witnessed the signing of documents on bilateral cooperation in such fields as aerospace, customs, science and technology, inter-regional cooperation, nuclear fuel and education.
