China and countries of Central and Eastern Europe have agreed on cooperation in port construction

Almaty. November 7. Silkroadnews – Premier of the State Council of China Li Keqiang attended the 5th summit of leaders of China and countries of Central and Eastern European, “Xinhua” agency said.

“After the meeting China and the 16 countries of Central and Eastern Europe announced a program of cooperation and a joint statement on cooperation in the field of port construction and equipment”, the publication says.

According to Li Keqiang, “16+1” cooperation format is a new innovative move of China and the countries of Central and Eastern Europe to implement the friendly cooperation.

He also pointed out such format is an active force to contribute to the international peace and development, a part of the China-EU cooperation and a useful addition to it, and added the cooperation within the format should follow the general direction of economic globalization.

Participants of the meeting expressed their intention to work with China to reveal the potential of cooperation, strengthen institutional building, as well as establish economic and humanitarian cooperation, strengthen cooperation in infrastructure, productive capacity, trade, finance, agriculture, science and technology, master e-commerce and other new models of cooperation, boost the sustainable development of the relations between the countries of Central and Eastern Europe and China, as well as strengthen the China-EU strategic partnership.
