China and Panama start free trade negotiations

Beijing. June 15. Silkroadnews - China and Panama start negotiations on free trade, a year after the establishment of diplomatic relations, China Plus reports.
China’s Minister of Commerce Zhong Shan and Panama’s Minister of Trade and Industry Augusto Arosemena co-chaired the first joint meeting of the Economic and Trade Committee between the governments of China and Panama in Beijing. The parties signed a memorandum of understanding, announcing the beginning of negotiations on the China-Panama free trade agreement.
Both Zhong and Arosemena expressed the hope that China and Panama would be able to complete the negotiations as soon as possible and conclude an agreement on free trade.
